Raktor: Broadcast One

Description

On Sunday Feb 5th at 6 PM PST (9 PM EST), Raktor invites you to take part in a new medium: participatory digital theater! The show takes place both in virtual reality and in a real theatre in San Francisco and Toronto, with audiences in both spaces guiding the show.

Raktor allows a live audience to co-create immersive worlds. We bring improvisers, stand-up comedians and circus performers, to make hilarious epic stories you can literally walk inside. The remote audience (in Toronto) also become characters in the story and help create strange surreal landscapes of imagination.

Half of the audience will be in our San Francisco studio, half in our Toronto Studio, and the final half will be a remote audience participating through Facebook Live Video. Three halfs!

Show starts promptly at 6 pm PST (9 pm EST) on Sunday, February 5th, 2017.

Notes for the Audience

As space is limited, but a full audience is crucial, please only get a ticket if you can commit to attending the event. And if you do get a ticket and then can’t make it, we urge you to please let us know as soon as possible so we can find someone to take your spot.

If Attending In Person

1. Don’t wear any shade of green. (We’ll be using a green screen). Any other color of the rainbow works! Avoid bright white if you can, too!
2. You should be comfortable with video of you being broadcast on Facebook Live. We will be asking anyone who enters to sign a release. While you won’t necessarily be the centre of attention, you may end up on screen.
